SAMREF Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery Company Ltd. is seeking an Accounting Specialist (FP&A) to join their team in Yanbu, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting high-level financial tasks and compliance matters within the Controllers Department.

Role Purpose

The Accounting Specialist will assist and advise the CT General Manager & Controller and CFO on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. The role requires a detail-oriented and analytical professional to support various financial and compliance functions, preferably with experience in oil and gas, particularly in downstream operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate annual budgeting, long-term business planning, short-term operating planning, and periodic forecasting processes.
• Develop financial models and analyze profitability, cost structures, key performance indicators (KPIs), and overall business performance.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and Board presentations, and develop management dashboards.
• Conduct budget-to-actual variance analysis, identify performance drivers, and recommend corrective actions.
• Partner with business leaders to develop budgets and improve financial performance.
• Conduct scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and financial feasibility assessments.
• Monitor revenue, operating expenses, profitability, cash flow, and cost performance; identify cost optimization opportunities; and support effective cost control initiatives.
• Support month-end closing activities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal procedures, and applicable accounting standards.
• Manage the company's overall insurance program, including planning, evaluating, negotiating with insurance agents, and coordinating with SHs risk management team, obtaining management approval.
• Assist the CT General Manager & Controller in the hiring and development of new PDEs in the Controllers Department.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the CT General Manager & Controller and CFO.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
• Experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in downstream operations, is required.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach to financial management.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Yanbu, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia, within the SAMREF Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery Company Ltd.
