About the Opportunity

TASNEE, a prominent company in the materials sector, is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join its team at AMIC-TOHO TITANIUM METAL Company. This full-time position is based in Yanbu, KSA, and reports directly to the Superintendent, Reliability & Engineering. The role requires a professional with 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary objective of this position is to actively support the assurance that stationary assets remain fit for purpose throughout their projected operational lifespan. This involves providing critical technical support, developing robust equipment integrity strategies, and leading and facilitating Reliability-Based Inspection (RBI) analysis across all AMIC-TOHO Plant Equipment. The Reliability Engineer will serve as the focal point for all RBI activities, ensuring the effective implementation of recommendations and continuous analysis updates to achieve AMIC-TOHO's Reliability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The role also encompasses implementing reliability best practices and evaluating new technologies to continuously enhance the reliability of the plant’s assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor asset performance, predict equipment failures, and proactively address them through effective equipment strategies.
• Conduct investigations and failure analyses to pinpoint root causes and develop suitable recommendations to ensure optimum integrity levels.
• Perform technical studies and coordinate with inspection and operations regarding any unexpected stationary equipment failures or breakdowns.
• Contribute to the development, review, and update of fixed equipment integrity strategies, including RBI and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), or other departmental methodologies.
• Execute technical evaluations on new or review projects, ensuring potential corrosion and material issues are addressed with an appropriate balance of technical and business requirements.
• Participate in various team workshops such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), RCM, Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and Management of Change (MOC) Committee meetings.
• Develop and maintain quality procedures for health audits of stationary equipment and pipelines, and prepare for audits.
• Collect, prepare, review, and utilize technical data related to plant stationary equipment.
• Study corrosion loops for equipment and associated piping to understand potential degradation mechanisms.

Strategic Reliability Initiatives

• Ensure the effectiveness of RBI studies output and perform periodic revisions and corrections for all RBI methodology-related supports to achieve meaningful results aligned with company objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement and foster a Reliability culture within the company through continuous monitoring of Reliability KPIs, carrying out special tasks for improvement, demonstration, personnel orientation, objective quantitative personnel surveys, and raising training needs.
• Enhance the culture of Reliability RBI in AMIC-TOHO for Maintenance, Operations, Project, and other related departments through frequent awareness programs.
• Conduct technical studies, monitor equipment operation, and perform enhancement studies.
• Implement proactive actions to ensure equipment integrity and availability for its intended purpose.
• Identify stationary equipment and pipelines related "bad actors," perform relevant analysis, and propose remedial measures.
• Prepare Annual and Master Plans for RBI analysis programs for plant equipment.
• Deliver management presentations as a power user for RBI Analysis and its outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with the overall Equipment Mechanical Integrity program, meeting legal requirements.
• Perform asset criticality assessments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a reliability engineering role or a closely related field.

Essential Skills and Technical Proficiency

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with the SAP Plant Maintenance module, including capabilities to extract data, analyze, and calculate Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
• Familiarity with Asset Performance Management (APM) software.
