Application Engineer I Saudi National Only

About the Role

Honeywell Technologies is seeking an Application Engineer I to join its Digital Integration team. This full-time position is open to Saudi Nationals only and requires 0-1 years of experience. The role involves working within a project environment, from study phase through design, implementation, documentation, delivery, and maintenance of Digital Integration solutions, primarily in the Middle East Region. The incumbent will report directly to the Engineering Manager for Digital Integration.

Position Summary

The Application Engineer I will optimize project productivity and quality by driving and maintaining standardization. This role also includes supporting sales activities through presentations and demonstrations, and participating in Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives. Digital Integration solutions encompass multiple skills such as APM, UI/UX, equipment maintenance, and data science techniques, and the candidate is expected to contribute in part or all of these areas. The position involves applying software technologies to achieve Asset Performance Management (APM), Operations Management, and other HCI solutions across various industries including Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemical, and minerals, with deployments on-premise or in the Cloud. This is a direct staff position with an average billability of >= 90% to external customer projects, intercompany customer projects, and customer support services.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to technical discussions related to asset performance, digital integrations, and data-driven models.
• Collaborate with lead or senior engineers on project design and delivery, and independently deliver assigned work with minimal supervision.
• Conduct product demonstrations and proof of concepts.
• Support the development of conceptual, user requirement, functional, and detailed technical design specifications, providing broad expertise for digital integration applications.
• Establish design acceptance with customer stakeholders, translating the impact of process and system changes to the bottom line and articulating benefits and value.
• Ensure appropriate test scripts, test data, test logs, and defect logs are in place for quality delivery.
• Participate in and facilitate critical project activities, securing customer buy-in and acceptance.
• Support change management within customer organizations through business process diagrams, training documentation, and conducting training sessions.
• Share technical knowledge with project teams, supervisors, and other disciplines.
• Communicate technical issues to the internal team, escalating them early in the project lifecycle.
• Provide pre-sales support to proposal teams.
• Showcase and define Honeywell’s solutions to potential customers.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to apply software technologies to Asset Performance Management (APM), Operations Management, and HCI solutions.
• Understanding of Digital Integration solutions, including APM, UI/UX, equipment maintenance, and data science techniques.
• Strong communication skills for technical discussions, customer engagement, and internal team collaboration.

Work Environment and Travel

This role is a full-time position based with Honeywell Technologies. The position requires approximately 30% travel, primarily within Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East region.
