About Accor and SLS The Red Sea

Accor is seeking a Baker for SLS The Red Sea, a property known for its design and service standards. Located on the Red Sea coast, SLS The Red Sea is part of Ennismore’s lifestyle portfolio and features 150 keys, five Food & Beverage venues, and a spa. This full-time position contributes to the culinary team, focusing on baked goods.

Role Summary

As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating a variety of breads, pastries, and specialty baked goods. This role involves supporting daily bakery production, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. You will work closely with the Head Baker and the wider culinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, bake, and present a range of breads, pastries, and bakery items according to established standards.
Support daily bakery production, including dough preparation, proofing, baking, and finishing processes.
Adhere to recipes, portion standards, and production guidelines to maintain consistency and minimize waste.
Maintain proper mise en place and ensure timely preparation of bakery items for daily service.
Monitor product freshness, quality, presentation, and ensure correct storage procedures are followed.
Implement correct food handling, labeling, storage, and stock rotation practices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace, equipment, and tools.
Comply with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation requirements at all times.
Collaborate with the Head Baker and culinary team to support smooth daily operations.
Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance bakery skills and product knowledge.
Support the broader kitchen operation as needed and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualifications and Experience

0-1 years of experience in a baking or culinary role.
Demonstrated understanding of baking techniques and food preparation.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the culinary team at SLS The Red Sea. The role requires collaboration with the Head Baker and other culinary professionals to maintain high standards of quality and service.
