Clinical Nutritionist

About the Role

Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib (HMG) is seeking a Clinical Nutritionist to join their team. This full-time role involves establishing nutritional plans, reviewing menus, and applying diet therapy for patients following nutritional assessments by Clinical Dietitians. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the provision of high-quality nutritional services to patients. This includes developing and implementing therapeutic diet plans and contributing to patient satisfaction through direct interaction and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient nutrition services and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Conduct daily rounds to interview patients regarding food allergies and preferences.
• Monitor the tray line on a daily basis to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Perform additional patient interviews as required by Clinical Dietitians.
• Provide nutritional education to patients, their families, and other members of the Health Care Team.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Nutrition department to develop menus for specific diets based on Medical Nutrition Therapy.
• Update and create meal plans in accordance with Therapeutic Diet requirements.
• Prepare weekly reports on the quality of food service for the Chief Clinical Nutritionist.
• Ensure the correct application of diet plans for patients.
• Distribute patient satisfaction surveys regarding dietary services and submit monthly reports.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate, respectful, and dignified care.
• Perform other assigned tasks and duties within the scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or Human Nutrition.
• Preferably three (3) years of experience in planning regular and therapeutic diets within an accredited hospital setting.
• Possession of relevant certifications.
• Valid Saudi Council License.

Experience Required

Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in a related field, with a preference for three years of experience in planning regular and therapeutic diets in an accredited hospital.
