About the Role

HUDSON is seeking a Cost Controller with extensive experience in the Oil and Gas sector to join their team in KSA. This full-time role focuses on managing and monitoring costs, particularly for shutdown and turnaround projects, ensuring financial control and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed shutdown budgets (WBS/CBS) based on scope, labor, materials, and equipment requirements.
• Capture and track actual costs incurred during shutdowns, including material consumption, manpower, and subcontractor work.
• Identify discrepancies between planned and actual costs, conducting variance analysis and recommending corrective actions, especially during high-pressure, short-duration shutdowns.
• Evaluate cost variations, change orders, and subcontractor claims, ensuring all changes are approved within the established commercial framework.
• Prepare regular cost control reports, including daily/weekly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final closing reports with lessons learned.
• Review subcontractor and supplier invoices and payment certificates for accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in cost control.
• At least 8 years of experience specifically in costing, budgeting, and cost monitoring for shutdown/turnaround projects.
