About the Role

Saudi Aramco is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join the UR Design Services & Engineering Support Division (URDSESD) within the Unconventional Resources Department. This is a full-time position. The URDSESD is responsible for the engineering, procurement, and construction of major Unconventional Gas facilities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Role Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the Electrical Engineering Design for Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Design, as well as construction activities for Unconventional Resources projects. This includes reviewing design packages, coordinating with Aramco’s stakeholders, and providing technical support for construction. Specific duties include:

Verifying and directing FEED/Detail Design packages, leveraging electrical knowledge in the Oil and Gas field.
Applying expertise in ETAP (Electrical Transient Analyzer Program) and general electrical system studies, calculations, electrical area classification, and plant layouts related to power, lighting, grounding, and substations (480V up to 115/230kV), including substation automation.
Developing electrical equipment specifications and data sheets for transformers, switchgears, motor control centers, UPS, DC power systems, and motors.
Reviewing technical bid evaluations, recommendations, vendor documents, and engineering deliverables.
Reviewing and directing design for Overhead Transmission lines with voltage ratings of *, *, 115kV, and 230kV.
Supporting projects in the Jafurah Field.
Reviewing and approving all vendor documents and drawings.
Ensuring the timely review of all engineering deliverables.
Interacting with other discipline members to resolve installation issues during the installation phase.
Coordinating activities and resolving issues among contractors and other parties to ensure construction progresses according to plan and achieves mechanical completion.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer on design projects, including Concept, FEED, Detailed Design, and Construction support.
Adequate knowledge of Electrical International Standards, specifically IEEE, ANSI, NEC, API, NEMA, and IEC, related to Electrical Installation works and Area Classification requirements.
Professional certification by AACE, PMI, or a professional engineering board is required.
Experience with Saudi Aramco standards and projects is preferred.

Essential Skills and Experience

Relevant experience in Oil and Gas Project Management Engineering, with experience in EPC phases (engineering, material procurement, construction management of hydrocarbon facilities), emphasizing construction.
Strong technical writing skills.
Ability and willingness to mentor and motivate young Saudi Engineers.
