About the Role

Saudi Aramco is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Unconventional Resources Producing Department (URPD) within the Unconventional Resources Organization. This full-time position involves providing professional advice and guidance on electrical systems, equipment, facility designs, and solutions to operational and maintenance challenges. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience.

Department Overview

The Unconventional Resources Producing Department (URPD) is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Unconventional Resources (UR) surface facilities. The department ensures the safe and efficient production of hydrocarbons and plays a critical role in the overall success of the UR program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Operations and Maintenance Units for troubleshooting and resolving electrical system issues, including reporting and documentation.
  • Offer expert advice and assistance to design, construction, maintenance engineers, and operations personnel on all aspects of electrical systems.
  • Develop engineering conceptual plans for new installations and upgrade projects, encompassing work scopes, calculations, and detailed technical specifications.
  • Review Project Proposals and Detailed Design packages for new facilities and participate in testing, commissioning, and Turnaround and Inspection (T&I) activities.
  • Maintain and update engineering documentation and drawings, and analyze system performance to identify energy-saving solutions.
  • Ensure the delivery of quality, cost-effective, and timely solutions for upgrades.
  • Test and pilot new technologies, and ensure full HSE compliance.
  • Report and analyze key performance indices, and make recommendations for technical/economic optimization of existing facilities.
  • Lead feasibility and profitability studies for new facilities and contribute to Business Unit strategy.
  • Assist in the training, development, and mentoring of junior staff.
  • Provide analysis, evaluation, and interpretation to support projects, processes, and financing related to Saudi Aramco capital investment decisions.
  • Maintain and expand professional contacts within the industry and interact regularly with professionals in various company organizations involved in capital planning and economic analysis.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical support and guidance on complex electrical systems.
  • Experience in conceptual planning, project review, and commissioning of facilities.
  • Proficiency in analyzing system performance and identifying optimization opportunities.
