About the Role

Acwa is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves executing various maintenance activities on plant equipment under the direction of an Electrical Supervisor or Engineer. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field and emphasizes strict adherence to safety protocols.

Job Summary

The Electrical Technician is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance, as well as annual outage and overhauling work activities. This includes ensuring all duties are carried out safely and efficiently, in compliance with NOMAC safety rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform all plant maintenance activities in a timely and safe manner, adhering strictly to maintenance procedures and work instructions.
Document maintenance concerns and history for equipment.
Report spare parts and consumables requirements to the Electrical Supervisor/Engineer and update spare parts availability.
Ensure proper isolations are carried out before commencing maintenance activities, in coordination with the Electrical Supervisor and local operator.
Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and perform maintenance on equipment within jurisdiction.
Demonstrate good knowledge of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and protection drawings related to plant equipment.
Install, adjust, inspect, service, and repair various static and rotating electrical equipment used in power and desalination plants.
Carry out all necessary preparations for electrical maintenance to assigned equipment/areas.
Understand the working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.
Maintain 5S housekeeping standards in the work area.
Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

2-5 years of experience in an electrical technician role, preferably within power or desalination plants.
Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and protection drawings.
Strong understanding of maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues effectively.
