Electrical Technician

About the Role

Acwa China is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves executing various maintenance activities on plant equipment under the direction of an Electrical Supervisor or Engineer. The role requires adherence to strict safety protocols for all tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance activities.
• Perform annual outage and overhauling work on plant equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures in all work activities.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve objectives efficiently.

Required Experience and Skills

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Generic awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environment Management system principles.
• Ability to work effectively in non-ideal environments, including confined spaces, at heights, and around chemicals.
• Proficiency in understanding, practicing, and enforcing safe work practices related to respiratory protection, elevated work platforms, fall protection, control of hazardous energy (Lockout/Tag-out), fire protection systems, electrical safety, confined space entry, and PPE.
• Knowledge of waste identification, classification, and disposal.
• Understanding of the environmental and health impact of chemicals used in the plant.
• Familiarity with firefighting equipment and First Aid measures.
• Basic knowledge of Power/Water plant operational activities.
• Basic computer skills.

Work Environment

The Electrical Technician will operate within a plant environment, which may include working in confined spaces, at heights, and in proximity to chemicals. A strong commitment to safety and environmental regulations is essential for this role.
