Food Services Supervisor

About the Role

Edition is seeking a Food Services Supervisor to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves ensuring optimal service delivery and guest satisfaction within food service operations. The supervisor will oversee staff performance, maintain operational standards, and manage inventory and facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure staff teamwork for optimal service and guest satisfaction.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including organizing supplies, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing premises.
• Inspect storage areas for organization, cleanliness, and adherence to FIFO methods.
• Complete scheduled inventories, stock, and order necessary supplies.
• Monitor seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being in dining areas.
• Submit work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with employee recruitment, training, organization, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
• Serve as an example and initial point of contact for the "Fair Treatment Guarantee and Open Door Policy."
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Protect company assets and maintain the privacy of proprietary information.
• Support colleagues and treat them with dignity and respect, contributing to team goals.
• Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Communicate with others using clear, professional language and appropriate phone etiquette.
• Listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds ( Kg) without assistance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
• Read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Ascend and descend stairs and/or service ramps.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in food services or a similar supervisory role. A strong understanding of hospitality operations and guest service standards is essential.
