Role Overview: Housekeeping Attendant

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for ensuring that The Ritz-Carlton's "Gold Standards" are consistently delivered in guest rooms and public areas. This full-time position involves maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of guest accommodations, responding to guest requests, and adhering to established procedures and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
Fill carts with supplies and transport them to assigned areas.
Enter guest rooms following established procedures, ensuring vacancy before entry.
Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items.
Make beds and fold terry.
Clean bathrooms thoroughly.
Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items.
Verify that all appliances are present and in working order.
Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.
Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties in guest rooms and hallways.

Operational Duties and Standards

Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Complete all required safety training and certifications.
Properly store flammable materials.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
Support team members to achieve common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations.

Physical Requirements

Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and over 25 pounds with assistance.
Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over various surfaces.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods throughout a work shift.
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
