Registered Nurse

About the Role

Dr Sulaiman AlHabib Medical Centers is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe and effective nursing care to medically ill pre and post-operative patients. This full-time role requires the application of professional knowledge and skills in adherence to HMG policies and procedures, ensuring that assigned patients receive timely multidisciplinary care.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive assigned patients according to daily assignments.
• Apply the Nursing Care process to assigned patients as per approved policy.
• Develop individualized Nursing Care plans in collaboration with other team members.
• Monitor patient status and report any deviations or abnormal findings to the team leader and doctor on duty within the specified timeframe.
• Execute doctor’s orders accurately and promptly.
• Provide individualized patient and family education based on their needs.
• Document patient assessment findings, physical responses to nursing interventions, and progress in status.
• Initiate emergency and resuscitative measures as required.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Maintain required mandatory unit-specific competency as per the approved competency matrix.
• Demonstrate flexibility to meet work needs, including pull-out and floating as required.
• Adhere to JCIA/CBAHI standards and HMG policies.
• Provide clinical supervision and support to the assigned shift when designated as shift in charge (team leader), ensuring patients receive the necessary care. This includes conducting rounds, reporting unusual incidents to nursing supervision, attending doctor’s rounds, and participating in patient status presentations and endorsements.
• Attend departmental education and training activities.
• Attend departmental meetings.
• Perform nursing procedures as required in the unit.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
• Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
• Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned by the charge nurse or head nurse within the scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of experience in a relevant nursing role.
• Demonstrated professional knowledge and skills in nursing care.
• Ability to adhere to established policies and procedures.

This is a full-time position within a medical center setting, requiring adherence to high standards of patient care and safety.
