Sonography Technician Technologist Senior

About the Role

Fakeeh Care Group is seeking a Sonography Technician Technologist Senior to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and involves performing ultrasound examinations and assisting radiologists with specialized procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations, including ultrasonography of the abdomen, pelvis, obstetric, and breast.
• Submit images to the radiologist for discussion and reporting.
• Consult with the radiologist during examinations for difficult cases.
• Ensure correct identification of patients and examination sites.
• Explain procedures and instruct patients on physical positioning for examinations.
• Select transducers and adjust equipment controls based on the organ being examined.
• Key patient information into ultrasound equipment to maintain image records.
• Record images on the machine and transfer them to PACS.
• Record patient details in the logbook.
• Maintain a neat and orderly appearance of ultrasound rooms at all times.
• Assist radiologists in performing special procedures such as biopsies or drainage.
• Maintain knowledge of all sterile techniques and necessary nursing procedures in the ultrasound area.
• Understand all hospital rules and procedures, and handle emergency situations effectively.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and preventative measures, where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and job requirements.
