About the Role

EDITION is seeking a Steward to join our team. This full-time role is essential for supporting various vital hotel functions by ensuring cleanliness and operational efficiency across different departments. The Steward contributes to maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction through meticulous attention to detail in cleaning and preparation tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and ensure the availability of clean linen and spotless dining ware for guests.
• Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, and linen washers and dryers.
• Transport dishware or linens efficiently across different areas of the hotel.
• Ensure strict adherence to established quality expectations and standards in all tasks.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
• Actively support the team in achieving common goals and objectives.
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns and feedback of other employees.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions promptly to the manager.
• Perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Maintain physical stamina for extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking.
• Execute movements such as reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping as required.
• Undertake other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• No high school diploma or * equivalent is required.
• No related work experience is necessary for this position.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No specific license or certification is needed.

Work Experience

This role is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, as no prior related work experience is required. Training will be provided to ensure success in the position.

Work Environment

The Steward will work across various hotel departments, including the kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry, to support essential cleaning needs. This role involves working collaboratively with other employees and departments to achieve common operational goals.
