About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a Supervisor-Engineering to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of tools, appliances, and equipment. This full-time role involves ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to safety standards within the facility. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment, and recommend replacements as needed.
Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters, and identify/operate all shut-off valves.
Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies, maintaining inventory and purchase order logs.
Inspect tools, equipment, or machines, and utilize computers for work-related information.
Operate power lifts and complete life safety checklists, including fire-pump and generator run tests.
Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems, and assist in developing disaster response protocols.
Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly.
Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
Ensure compliance with company and safety/security policies, report hazards or incidents, and complete required safety training.
Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and positive working relationships with colleagues.
Identify and implement improvements for organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the engineering department, requiring active participation in daily operations and team collaboration to achieve common goals and maintain high service standards.
