Supervisor Housekeeping

About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a Supervisor-Housekeeping to join its team. This full-time position involves overseeing housekeeping operations, ensuring quality standards, and supporting management in daily activities. The role requires 0-1 years of experience and focuses on maintaining guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure adherence to quality standards after cleaning.
• Manage room status reports, identify discrepancies, prioritize cleaning schedules, and update room statuses.
• Coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
• Document and resolve room-related issues with the Front Desk.
• Prepare and communicate changes in room assignments to staff.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
• Ensure compliance with company and safety and security policies, reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or injuries.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate professionally and foster positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting objects up to 55 pounds, pushing housekeeping carts, and engaging in extended periods of standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and verify information in various formats.
• Proficiency in using computers and/or point-of-sale systems for work-related information.

Work Environment

This role operates in a dynamic hotel environment, requiring constant interaction with staff and guests. The position involves physical activity and adherence to strict quality and safety protocols to ensure a high standard of guest experience.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds independently, and over 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull loaded housekeeping carts and other equipment over various surfaces.
• Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capacity to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods throughout a work shift.
• Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for grasping, turning, and manipulating objects.
