About the Role

Turkish Airlines is seeking a full-time Accountant to join its team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to ensuring the accurate recording of cost and expense documents, reflecting revenue and expenses in accounting records, and maintaining strict compliance with applicable legislation, company regulations, circular letters, approvals, and generally accepted accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial and administrative duties, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established guidelines. Core responsibilities include:

• Timely monitoring and verification of revenues from sales management, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, legislation, and regulations.
• Accurately recording revenues in accounting records.
• Responding to requests by providing comprehensive office income, cost, financing, and financial statistical information to the Sales Manager or immediate superior.
• Managing timely bank deposits for sales proceeds (Office+BSP+Cargo+CASS+GSA) and diligently recording them.
• Efficiently processing payments for approved expenditures, strictly following written approvals, and ensuring proper accounting records.
• Handling disbursements of allowances as necessary.

Compliance and Financial Oversight

This position requires meticulous attention to detail in financial operations and adherence to regulatory frameworks. Key aspects include:

• Communicating activities required by local laws to the certified public accountant.
• Diligently monitoring compliance with all applicable legislation, company regulations, circular letters, approvals, and generally accepted accounting principles.

Budget Management and Administrative Support

Beyond core accounting functions, the role involves active participation in budgetary controls and administrative tasks:

• Maintaining the annual cost budget sheet and closely monitoring costs to ensure alignment with budget limits.
• Taking proactive steps to prevent exceeding budget portions and promptly informing superiors.
• Skillfully managing administrative affairs and diligently following up on related issues.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles and a commitment to accuracy:

• 2-5 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail in financial record-keeping and reporting.
• Ability to adhere strictly to applicable legislation, company regulations, and accounting principles.
