About Accor and the Role

The company is seeking an Assistant Learning & Development Manager to join the team at Sofitel Shahd Al Madinah. This full-time role involves supporting the creation and implementation of training initiatives within the hotel environment.

Role Overview

The Assistant Learning & Development Manager will contribute to fostering a learning culture within the hotel. This position is integral to identifying training needs, coordinating development activities, and maintaining comprehensive records to support employee growth and operational excellence. The role requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation, implementation, and facilitation of the Hotel Training Plan and budget, ensuring alignment with hotel goals and strategic plans.
• Conduct annual training needs analysis and coordinate with department managers to identify training opportunities for team members.
• Initiate, coordinate, deliver, and follow up on all training activities within the hotel.
• Actively initiate relationships and partnerships with industry associations, external training companies, and academic councils related to the hospitality industry.
• Update and maintain accurate records of training activities and participant information.
• Maintain an ongoing Training Calendar to maximize learning resources and opportunities.
• Develop and manage a central internal resource library of videos, books, and magazines for employee use.
• Share responsibilities for the integration and orientation process of new hires.
• Assist with the implementation of new policies, procedures, and standards.
• Prepare and submit training reports.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Full conversance with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
• Ability to attend all briefings, meetings, and trainings as assigned by management.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
• Awareness of hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.
