About the Role

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Deal Lead Quality Consultant to join the Strategy & Business Development Division within the Gas Venture Department. This full-time role focuses on the transaction cycle from origination to closing, encompassing due diligence, business valuation, deal structuring, risk mitigation, and commercial negotiations.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary purpose of this position is to contribute individually to securing investment opportunities in international gas upstream and liquefaction. This effort directly supports the achievement of Saudi Aramco’s gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) production targets. The role involves engagement across various stages of the deal lifecycle, ensuring effective communication and addressing concerns both within the Gas Ventures Department and with other business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen global upstream gas and LNG investment opportunities.
  • Characterize and prioritize opportunities based on defined criteria, including upstream potential, project maturity, partner quality, project economics, and local policies.
  • Assist in developing positions for new problem areas or situations and formulating policies, programs, and procedures with an economic mindset.
  • Provide investment analysis advice for LNG and Upstream Projects, leading economic evaluations and financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals.
  • Coordinate M&A task forces to gather inputs from various units (Upstream, Gas Ventures Department Origination, Legal) to support the assessment of pre-Final Investment Decision (FID) projects.
  • Conduct negotiations with partners to finalize investment terms and execute transactions.
  • Manage technical, financial, commercial, environmental, and legal due diligences.
  • Manage external advisors during the assessment process.
  • Identify alternative investments for the Gas Ventures Department (GVD).
  • Support management-level decision-making with reports on specific opportunities.
  • Lead the preparation of high-quality management information to support decision-making on potential transactions at both Gas Ventures Department and Saudi Aramco levels.
  • Coordinate communication on LNG and gas opportunities across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering from a recognized and approved program is required.
  • An MBA or other advanced postgraduate degree in MPA or a business-related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Demonstrable leadership and management experience.

Required Skills

  • Strong ability to establish and maintain networks, both within and across company organizations.
  • Capability to work effectively within a matrix organization and with multi-disciplinary teams is preferred.
