About the Role

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking an Engineering Storekeeper for the InterContinental The Red Sea Resort, Shura Island. This full-time role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the proper receipt, storage, issuance, and control of engineering materials, tools, spare parts, and supplies. The position supports the Engineering Department by ensuring materials are available, properly organized, and stored safely and efficiently.

Role Purpose

The Engineering Storekeeper plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of the Engineering Department. This involves meticulous management of all engineering-related inventory, from receipt to issuance, ensuring that all items are accounted for and readily accessible. The position requires adherence to established inventory control procedures and safety standards to minimize loss and damage.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and properly store engineering materials, spare parts, tools, and supplies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and regularly monitor stock levels.
• Issue materials and tools to Engineering colleagues based on approved requests.
• Conduct regular stock counts and report any discrepancies, shortages, or damaged items.
• Ensure proper labeling, organization, and safe storage of all engineering items.
• Coordinate with the Engineering and Purchasing Departments regarding stock requirements and replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe engineering storeroom.
• Monitor stock movement and ensure proper documentation of all receipts and issues.
• Follow hotel policies, safety standards, and inventory control procedures.
• Support the Engineering Department with daily administrative and inventory-related tasks.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, spare parts, and materials to minimize loss or damage.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience. The role requires an individual with a strong understanding of inventory management principles and the ability to maintain detailed records. Familiarity with engineering materials and tools is beneficial.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the InterContinental The Red Sea Resort, Shura Island. The role involves working closely with the Engineering and Purchasing Departments to ensure seamless operations and material availability.
