About the Role

Acwa is seeking an Instrumentation & Control Technician to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves carrying out maintenance, installation, overhauling, and modification activities on the plant's instrumentation and control systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine preventative instrumentation and control maintenance according to schedule and procedures to ensure continuous operations.
Monitor the physical condition of systems and equipment in the assigned plant and report non-conformances to the Instrumentation and Control Supervisor.
Respond to instrumentation and control failures, implementing corrective actions to reduce downtime and maximize equipment functionality.
Troubleshoot malfunctions using necessary tools and spare parts, including diagnosis, dismantling, repair, part changes, checking, cleaning, and reassembly to ensure instruments are calibrated and in good working condition.
Diagnose causes of malfunction or failure of operational equipment such as control valves and transmitters, taking corrective measures in collaboration with the supervisor.
Read and interpret technical manuals, control diagrams, and system diagrams to perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.

Documentation and Continuous Improvement

Update the maintenance logbook with details of work carried out, including defaults, problems, findings, and conditions of all instrumentation and control systems.
Contribute to the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programs, and projects in line with organizational standards.

Compliance and Safety

Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions.
Comply with all health, safety, security, and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance.

Working Relationships

The Instrumentation & Control Technician will work closely with the Instrumentation & Control Supervisor, Engineers, and Supervisors within the Maintenance section, as well as the Operations Team.
