About the Role

Maaden is seeking a Lead Engineer, Electrical to enhance the reliability, integrity, and performance of electrical assets across MWSPC facilities. This full-time position is based in Ras Al Khair, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on implementing reliability-centered maintenance strategies to improve equipment availability, reduce operational risks, and maximize asset value.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Lead Engineer, Electrical delivers sustainable improvements in asset performance through proactive reliability management, failure elimination, and risk-based decision-making. Combining technical expertise with operational priorities, this position supports production stability, cost efficiency, and long-term asset sustainability. The role serves as the technical authority for electrical reliability, promoting maintenance excellence, asset performance, and compliance with engineering and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive reliability initiatives to improve electrical asset availability and performance.
• Eliminate recurring equipment failures through structured reliability analysis.
• Strengthen asset integrity via effective maintenance and technical assurance practices.
• Monitor asset health and identify reliability risks before operational impact.
• Improve lifecycle performance of critical electrical systems and equipment.
• Develop and optimize reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and corrective action programs.
• Evaluate failure trends and implement sustainable reliability improvements.
• Review and govern Management of Change (MOC) activities affecting electrical assets.
• Ensure maintenance strategies align with operational requirements and engineering standards.
• Apply predictive and condition-based maintenance practices to enhance equipment performance.
• Provide expert guidance for complex electrical issues and equipment failures.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of critical operational reliability challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and maintenance productivity.
• Support commissioning, site acceptance testing, and operational readiness of new electrical assets.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance effectiveness and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards, reliability procedures, and safety requirements.
• Promote safe work practices and effective application of engineering controls.
• Monitor reliability performance indicators and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure technical documentation and maintenance records remain accurate and current.
• Support audit readiness and compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Capability Building

• Build alignment between E&I Support, Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership on reliability improvement and asset management initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and technical personnel on reliability methodologies and best practices.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and adoption of reliability standards across the organization.
• Strengthen cross-functional collaboration to improve plant performance and reliability outcomes.

Budget and Performance Management

• Support the development and management of electrical reliability and maintenance budgets.
• Review CAPEX and OPEX requirements to support reliability objectives.
• Evaluate asset investment opportunities and improvement programs.
• Provide performance insights that support maintenance and asset management decisions.
• Ensure investments deliver measurable improvements in reliability and operational performance.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on reliability and asset performance. The role requires a strong understanding of maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, and compliance with engineering and safety standards.
