About the Role

Wood is seeking a full-time PMC Safety Officer HSE to join its team. This role focuses on ensuring safety standards within engineering design projects across the oil and gas, hydrocarbon refinery, and petrochemical industries. The position is based at various remote site locations throughout Saudi Arabia, requiring a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate involvement in construction safety activities for large-scale projects.
  • Conduct safety compliance audits in alignment with Saudi Aramco Contractor Safety Administrative Requirements and the Construction Safety Manual, including corrective action procedures.
  • Ensure effective implementation of established Safety Programs.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of international safety standards, regulations, and procedures.
  • Act as an Accident/Incident Investigator (RCA), with experience in methodologies such as Helix/Taproot.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven PMC experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the oil & gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries.
  • Proven construction safety experience.
  • Ability to audit compliance with Saudi Aramco safety requirements to minimize risks and potential losses to Saudi Aramco, the public, and contractors.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective loss prevention and safety programs, including corrective action procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of international safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and safety management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A globally recognized professional safety certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) is preferred.
  • Experience working on projects for Saudi Aramco or similar major industrial organizations is an advantage.
