About the Role

ABIS is seeking a QC Inspector - Instrument - Project to join our team. This full-time role involves performing inspection and testing of instrumentation construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform in-process and final inspections on instrumentation installation works.
Witness loop checks, calibration, and instrument testing activities in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
Verify instrument installation, tubing, and wiring against approved drawings and specifications.
Verify materials and instruments against material certificates and specifications.
Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as required.
Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
Maintain comprehensive inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
Verify the calibration status of all test and measuring equipment used on site.
Support the generation of punch lists and verify the closure of identified items for instrumentation works.
Ensure that work fronts comply with approved method statements and instrumentation standards.
Support the preparation of quality documentation for instrumentation handover dossiers.

Performance Indicators

Performance in this role will be evaluated based on the following indicators:

Accuracy and completeness of inspections.
Timely identification and reporting of non-conformances.
First-time inspection pass rate on assigned work fronts.
Adherence to inspection schedules and hold points.
Quality of inspection documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on instrumentation construction projects.
A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering.
QC/inspection certification is preferred.
