About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Quality Engineer (Site Operations) to join their team in KSA. This full-time role focuses on ensuring that construction projects adhere to all quality control and quality assurance procedures on-site. The Quality Engineer will collaborate with site management, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and monitor quality control processes for construction activities on-site, ensuring work aligns with approved plans, drawings, and specifications.
Perform site inspections and coordinate testing of materials, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, accurately recording and reporting results.
Identify and document deviations or non-conformance issues, working with site teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain clear, accurate records of inspections, tests, reports, and non-conformance issues, preparing and submitting regular quality control reports to project managers and senior management.
Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality standards are met during construction and to resolve any quality-related concerns.
Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards (*, ISO 9001).
Assist in identifying areas for improvement in quality processes and contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall quality of project delivery.
Ensure that all quality-related concerns from clients and stakeholders are addressed promptly and professionally, supporting client inspections and reviews as required.
Provide quality awareness training to site teams, ensuring all personnel are familiar with the project's quality requirements and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in quality engineering.
At least 2-3 years of experience in site-based roles within construction projects in the UAE or GCC region.

Work Environment

This role is based on-site within construction projects in KSA, requiring close collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to maintain quality standards.
