Repair and Maintenance Specialist II Logging While Drilling Services(LWD)

About the Role

Weatherford is seeking a Repair and Maintenance Specialist II - Logging While Drilling Services (LWD) to join their team. This full-time role involves assisting with the development of a reliability-based maintenance strategy, with a focus on preventive and predictive maintenance for LWD product line equipment. The specialist will work directly with the Maintenance Manager to establish a reliable system and maintenance team, and will coordinate workload with Repair and Maintenance Technicians. This position requires 2-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

The primary activities for this role will take place at the workshop. The specialist will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, refurbishing, and implementing mandatory modifications. This includes executing and/or planning preventive and corrective maintenance of field equipment and tools to mitigate asset-related non-productive time and improve overall field service delivery performance. Occasional travel to client locations may be required to perform necessary R&M tasks for field operations.

Core Duties

• Perform advanced repairs and maintenance on LWD tools and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostics on LWD equipment using both manual and computerized methods.
• Collaborate with field personnel to provide on-site technical support and training as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Support the design and improvement of LWD equipment and tools by providing feedback and insights based on field experiences.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Mentor and train junior technicians and other team members.
• Participate in project planning and execution, providing input on equipment selection and maintenance strategies.
• Stay updated on technological advancements in LWD systems and industry best practices.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Work Environment

This role is primarily workshop-based, with potential requirements to attend client locations for field operations when R&M tasks are necessary. The specialist will work within a team environment, collaborating with the Maintenance Manager and Repair and Maintenance Technicians.
