About the Role

Weatherford is seeking a Repair and Maintenance Specialist III for Logging While Drilling (LWD) Services. This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, Eastern region, and requires 5-10 years of experience. The specialist will contribute to developing a reliability-based maintenance strategy, focusing on preventive and predictive maintenance for product line equipment.

Role Context and Objectives

Working directly with the Maintenance Manager, this role is crucial for building a reliable system and maintenance team. The primary activities will involve troubleshooting, repairing, refurbishing, and implementing mandatory modifications of field equipment and tools within the workshop. The specialist will also execute and plan preventive and corrective maintenance, aiming to mitigate asset-related non-productive time and enhance overall field service delivery performance. Occasional travel to client locations for R&M tasks may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced repairs and maintenance on LWD tools and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostics on LWD equipment using both manual and computerized methods.
• Collaborate with field personnel to provide on-site technical support and training as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Support the design and improvement of LWD equipment and tools by providing feedback and insights from field experiences.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Mentor and train junior technicians and other team members.
• Participate in project planning and execution, providing input on equipment selection and maintenance strategies.
• Stay updated on technological advancements in LWD systems and industry best practices.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern region. The role primarily involves workshop activities but may require travel to client locations for field operations as necessary.
