Role Overview

Alfanar Projects is seeking a Section Manager - Costing & Financial Reporting to join its team. This full-time role involves overseeing critical financial functions, ensuring operational efficiency, and contributing to strategic objectives within the organization. The successful candidate will bring 5-10 years of relevant experience to this leadership position.

Leadership and Team Development

• Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high-performing individuals to build a robust second line of management.
• Address low performance by providing support or facilitating necessary personnel changes.
• Ensure equitable treatment for all team members, with performance as the sole criterion for assessing results.
• Develop and update the organizational structure to align with current and future requirements.
• Ensure the availability and deployment of clear job descriptions for all roles within the section.

Strategic Planning and Operational Management

• Assume full responsibility for operational activities and deliverables, adhering to company guidelines.
• Anticipate potential problems and implement proactive measures to prevent their occurrence.
• Make timely and appropriate decisions to support operational objectives.
• Ensure the timely delivery of required results, meeting specified quality and cost standards.
• Contribute significantly to the area of operation, aiming to exceed business expectations.
• Translate corporate goals into actionable business plans.
• Plan, monitor, and execute annual and development plans effectively.
• Monitor plan performance, initiate actions to enhance results, and take corrective measures as needed.
• Prepare and submit periodic work progress reports to relevant stakeholders.

Financial Management and Reporting

• Monitor and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.

Process Improvement and Compliance

• Ensure the availability and adherence to a delegation of authorities matrix as per company policy.
• Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, actively seeking automation opportunities.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IT solutions relevant to the job and business, and promote their full utilization.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in costing, financial reporting, and operational management roles, preferably within a project-based environment.
