Senior Application Engineer

About the Role

Trillium Flow Technologies is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for providing comprehensive technical and commercial support for centrifugal pump packages, specifically for Original Equipment (OE) projects. The position serves as a key technical interface between customers, sales teams, and Trillium Pumps Italy during the pre-order and bid execution phases.

Role Purpose and Context

The Senior Application Engineer will review customer specifications, conduct hydraulic and mechanical evaluations, and develop technical proposals. A core responsibility is ensuring compliance with API, Saudi Aramco, and international standards. This role is critical in supporting the successful acquisition of orders for strategic projects across various sectors, including oil & gas, petrochemical, water, power, and industrial.

Key Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, customer specifications, data sheets, and project requirements.
• Perform pump sizing and hydraulic selection using approved engineering tools, evaluating operating conditions, NPSH requirements, efficiency, and system performance.
• Select appropriate pump configurations, materials, seals, bearings, and auxiliary systems.
• Prepare technical deviations, clarifications, and compliance matrices, ensuring adherence to API 610, API 682, Saudi Aramco specifications, and customer requirements.
• Support engineering reviews related to centrifugal pump packages and rotating equipment.
• Prepare technical and commercial quotations within required deadlines and develop cost estimates.
• Participate in technical bid evaluations, customer clarification meetings, and support sales teams during presentations and project discussions.
• Serve as the technical focal point for customers during the bidding phase and coordinate with Trillium Pumps Italy engineering teams on complex applications.
• Attend customer meetings, kick-off meetings, and technical review sessions, providing timely responses to technical queries.
• Maintain application engineering databases and selection records, monitoring market trends and competitor technologies.
• Contribute to the standardization and optimization of quoting processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Company HSE policies and quality management systems, promoting a culture of safety and integrity.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant application engineering role.
• Demonstrated ability to perform hydraulic and mechanical evaluations for centrifugal pump packages.
• Strong understanding of API 610, API 682, and Saudi Aramco specifications.
• Experience in preparing technical and commercial quotations.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with EPC contractors, consultants, and end users.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia. The role involves close coordination with internal departments, sales teams, and international engineering teams, as well as direct interaction with customers and external stakeholders.
