Senior Mechanic

About the Role

Yamama Cement Company is seeking a Senior Mechanic to join their team. This full-time role involves performing essential mechanical maintenance work to ensure the efficient operation of production units. The Senior Mechanic will be responsible for routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance tasks, adhering to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency mechanical maintenance in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
• Monitor the performance of production units to ensure operation within designated limits and report any observations affecting equipment efficiency.
• Identify necessary maintenance tools and equipment, assess their readiness, and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure continuous availability.
• Organize and store maintenance tools in their designated locations, maintain them properly, and ensure appropriate disposal of maintenance waste.
• Execute mechanical repair work, including welding, cutting, and refurbishing replaced parts to ensure their readiness and efficiency.
• Comply with all safety procedures before commencing work, including verifying required permits and lockout/tagout forms.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
