Spa Therapist

About the Role

Luxury Collection is seeking a Spa Therapist to provide high-quality massage and body treatments to guests. This full-time position involves assessing guest needs, ensuring comfort and safety during services, and maintaining a professional spa environment. The role requires 0-1 years of experience and a commitment to upholding company standards and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver massage services and body treatments using appropriate props, products, scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy.
• Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (*, allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) before commencing services.
• Stay updated with current techniques and modalities relevant to spa therapy.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and arrange workstations, treatment rooms, and drapes.
• Ensure guest comfort, safety, and security throughout the service, checking in frequently.
• Promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools; ensure cleanliness of workstations and treatment rooms throughout shifts.
• Dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Adhere to time schedules throughout the day.
• Manage inappropriate guest behavior according to Marriott International standard operating procedures, which may include stopping a treatment and informing a supervisor.
• Maintain current skills and licensure in the service area as per regional requirements.

Operational Duties and Professional Conduct

• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guest service needs; express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with guests and colleagues.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: A State or Regional Massage License is required.
