About Lucid

Lucid is focused on advancing mobility experiences through innovation, developing vehicles built on proprietary technology and software-defined architecture. The company's approach emphasizes performance, sustainability, design, and engineering, as demonstrated in its Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity models. Lucid operates with deep vertical integration, managing design, engineering, and production internally across its global facilities, with teams from various industries contributing to its objectives.

Role Overview: Sr. Hardware Engineer (Digital LV)

Lucid is seeking a Sr. Hardware Engineer (Digital LV) to provide dedicated ownership of software release management for in-house Low Voltage ECUs. This full-time role, based in Saudi Arabia, involves managing release timing, content readiness, validation status, traceability, and issue resolution across concurrent programs. The position supports both new program launches and sustaining operations by maintaining released software packages, coordinating updates for production and service needs, and ensuring accuracy of software and flashing information. The role requires 5-10 years of experience and aims to enhance execution discipline by ensuring software releases and updates are planned, tracked, validated, documented, and communicated from engineering development through production rollout and post-launch support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate troubleshooting for hardware-related issues affecting ECU flashing, manufacturing test execution, software deployment, or production continuity.
  • Act as the technical point of contact between the in-house Low Voltage ECU team and Lucid Manufacturing teams for sustaining issues, escalations, technical containment, and production support.
  • Serve as the central resource to establish and track software releases, timing, and content rollout based on program plans within cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate software releases with business stakeholders.
  • Manage the in-house ECU software release process with the Manufacturing Test Team, Operations, and Contract Manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with Technical Program Managers (TPMs), software engineers, and test engineers to implement and maintain release management systems, solutions, and processes.
  • Support other teams by providing requested information (*, software file locations, flashing tools, traceability information) for all engineering builds and production.
  • Communicate regularly to management on activities and status for all assigned programs.
  • Review, track, and sign off on all Software Quality (QUALs), Process Change Requests (PCRs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for internal and external ECUs.
  • Manage multiple concurrent releases, builds, and deployments from development to production rollout.
  • Manage pre-release software testing in the Manufacturing Test lab, Contract Manufacturers, and internal sites.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and lead the team to achieve goals.
  • Track all open software issues affecting these teams and manage them to resolution.
  • Support engineering teams at HQ during final verification of software intended for production release.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage software release processes for complex systems.
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and operations.
  • Proficiency in tracking and resolving technical issues impacting production and service.

Compensation

Compensation for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
