Supervisor Landscape Maintenance

About the Role

The Red Sea Landscape Nursery is seeking a Supervisor - Landscape Maintenance to oversee and coordinate daily landscape maintenance operations. This full-time role ensures that landscaped areas are maintained to high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. The Supervisor will be responsible for workforce deployment, softscape maintenance, irrigation coordination, and overall plant health monitoring.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to supervise and coordinate all day-to-day landscape maintenance activities. This includes ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks, conducting site inspections, and planning work to meet established quality and presentation standards for all landscaped areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all daily landscape maintenance activities within assigned areas.
• Plan daily work schedules and allocate manpower based on operational priorities and site requirements.
• Oversee the maintenance of trees, palms, shrubs, groundcovers, lawns, and seasonal plants.
• Supervise horticultural activities including pruning, trimming, mowing, planting, fertilization, weeding, mulching, and plant replacement.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure landscape areas meet required quality and presentation standards.
• Monitor plant health and identify issues such as irrigation problems, pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
• Coordinate with the irrigation team regarding performance, leaks, blockages, damaged components, and watering schedules.
• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, tools, machinery, equipment, and landscape materials.
• Monitor stock and material requirements, coordinating timely availability of fertilizers, chemicals, plants, and soil.
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, PPE requirements, toolbox talks, and safe working practices.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports covering manpower, completed works, pending activities, materials, equipment, and operational issues.
• Coordinate with Landscape Management, Irrigation, Nursery, HSE, Facilities, Logistics, and other support functions.
• Identify operational challenges, manpower shortages, quality concerns, or delays and escalate them to the Line Manager.
• Support employee performance monitoring and provide on-the-job guidance and coaching to the landscape team.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in landscape maintenance supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate daily landscape maintenance activities.
• Proficiency in horticultural practices, plant health monitoring, and irrigation systems.
• Strong understanding of HSE procedures and safe working practices in landscape operations.
