Supervisor Stewards

About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a Supervisor-Stewards for a full-time position. This role involves directing and assisting stewards to ensure efficient cleanup operations and maintaining appropriate cleaning standards. The Supervisor will also support kitchen and banquet operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and assist stewards to optimize cleanup efficiency.
• Ensure and document appropriate water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning.
• Assist with banquet plate-ups and provide support to cooks and kitchen staff.
• Transport and ensure adequate stock for banquet and buffet services.
• Return cleaned items to their designated locations.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance; protect company assets and proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guest service needs.
• Communicate professionally with others.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position requiring adherence to company policies and safety procedures. The role involves working closely with kitchen and banquet teams to ensure smooth operations and high service standards.

The Supervisor-Stewards will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
