The Role of Tendering Manager

FieldCore is seeking a Tendering Manager for a full-time position in Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for the costing and planning of upgrade projects across the Middle East. The Tendering Manager ensures excellence in key metrics such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC), productivity, and customer satisfaction. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PES and GEV Commercial & Sales teams to develop tailored upgrade plans and cost estimates for opportunities, contributing to OFS & GE Vernova operating plans.
• Develop field service project cost estimates using established standards, ensuring comprehensive planning for schedule, cost, man-loading, core outage/critical path impact, and job setup.
• Prepare competitive outage offers, considering scope, resourcing, timing, and cost, and track opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project planning and execution from opportunity to closeout by reviewing updated requirements, developing and updating cost estimates, escalating cost variances, and tracking performance against SQDC and KPI targets.
• Facilitate communication among event management, ITO, parts, repairs, sourcing, engineering, and PES to ensure execution excellence across the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project costs with support from the value stream, productivity, and project controls teams, performing As-sold vs. As-executed analysis for all projects.
• Conduct Gemba walks during project execution to gather lessons learned for future projects.
• Support end customer pre- and post-outage meetings as required to maximize project efficiency and effectiveness.
• Review technical reports generated on-site, updating documentation, project status, and cost as necessary.
• Partner with Regional & PES Operations teams to establish a feedback loop for continuous improvement and to provide inputs to key planning and review processes.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated customer-facing and communication skills.
• Experience in Gas Turbine or Controls Field Service.
• A commercial mindset with proven success in identifying opportunities and securing stakeholder support for implementation.
• High-level organizational ability, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong customer and team-oriented mindset to consistently deliver competitive outage offers.
• Technical knowledge and understanding relevant to the product and its maintenance.
• Excellent planning and project management skills, with proactive risk management and compliance awareness.
• Ability to track and analyze cost and schedule variances, and develop plans to mitigate impacts.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation, and verbal & written communication skills.
• Ability to travel for site survey needs and execution lessons learned.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia, involving collaboration with various internal teams and external customers across the Middle East region. Travel is required to support site survey needs and gather lessons learned from project execution.
