Testing And Commissioning Manager

About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Testing And Commissioning Manager. This full-time position involves providing commissioning expertise for various projects, encompassing the planning and management of all testing and commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful project delivery. The role also includes overall management of site pre-commissioning and final commissioning works for each stage of a project.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee testing and commissioning plans submitted by contractors to ensure compliance with project operational requirements.
• Manage and validate all technical specification portions of testing and pre-commissioning components within contracts for works requiring design, construction, and testing services.
• Develop integrated commissioning plans and oversee the preparation of commissioning schedules.
• Manage the day-to-day commissioning process and lead the commissioning team to ensure effective and efficient operation across various projects.
• Oversee all aspects of commissioning, maintaining daily interface with subcontractors and client representatives.
• Manage contractors to ensure performance aligns with contract requirements.
• Lead the development of a logically linked testing and commissioning program as part of the overall project construction.
• Ensure all health & safety and precautionary requirements and procedures are followed during the testing and commissioning process.
• Review and provide feedback on contractors' Testing and Commissioning handover document submittals.
• Provide input to Project Managers and the Technical team to ensure requirements are managed effectively regarding safety and efficiency.
• Manage and coordinate on-site project commissioning activities after clearance from the Project Manager.
• Monitor contractors' Testing and Commissioning handover progress and ensure works are designed and implemented according to technical specifications and applicable codes.
• Identify potential quality problems to assist in developing constructability review reports.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates for the Testing And Commissioning Manager position should possess the ability to oversee and manage complex commissioning processes. The role requires a strong understanding of technical specifications and contractual obligations related to design, construction, and testing services. Experience in leading teams and ensuring compliance with safety standards is essential.
