About the Role

GREENLAND GROUP is seeking a Work Permit Receiver for a full-time position in Saudi Arabia, specifically for the L&T Company. This role is critical for ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed on site, requiring a professional with a strong understanding of work permit systems and safety procedures.

Role Overview

The Work Permit Receiver is responsible for the diligent oversight and execution of work permit procedures, ensuring all tasks are conducted safely and in compliance with established regulations. This includes pre-work inspections, team briefings, continuous monitoring, and proper permit closure.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and comprehend work permits, scopes of work, and job safety analyses to identify all associated hazards and rules.
• Conduct joint site inspections with the permit issuer to verify the readiness of safety controls, gas tests, and equipment isolations (*, Lockout/Tagout).
• Lead toolbox talks to brief the work crew on potential risks, emergency procedures, and necessary safety precautions before work commencement.
• Confirm that all workers are wearing the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure the permit copy is posted at the work site.
• Maintain continuous presence or frequent checks in the work area to ensure the team adheres to exact permit limits regarding time, place, and tasks.
• Exercise stop-work authority immediately if conditions change or an unsafe action occurs, and promptly notify the permit issuer.
• Ensure the work site is restored by removing tools, securing equipment, and cleaning the area upon completion of work.
• Sign off on completed work and return the permit to the issuer for closure.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A diploma in engineering is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Applicants must have at least 2 years of overseas experience as a Work Permit Receiver, preferably in a Gulf country or with Aramco approval.

Experience Level

This position requires candidates with 2-5 years of professional experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in work permit procedures and site safety management.
