About the Role of X-Ray Technologist

Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib (HMG) is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to perform imaging examinations to a high standard. This permanent position requires 2-5 years of experience and involves close coordination with radiologists and other physicians, adhering to workplace rules and professional best practices. The role emphasizes independent professional judgment to achieve diagnostic quality medical imaging with minimal radiation exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Treat patients courteously and maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues, patients, and hospital staff.
• Position patients accurately for each imaging examination.
• Select appropriate radiation exposure factors and utilize special features of imaging modalities as required for individual cases.
• Assist, with suitable training and supervision, in intravenous injection of radiographic contrast when necessary.
• Promptly activate local emergency codes when required.
• Ensure the physical safety of all patients, including never leaving patients unattended in controlled radiation areas.
• Adhere to best practice radiation protection guidance and comply with all relevant radiation protection guidelines.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images, appropriately presented for interpretation by Radiologists.
• Remain in work areas and be easily accessible at all times during scheduled duty periods.
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of imaging equipment and surrounding areas.
• Demonstrate work flexibility to meet the exigencies of hospital healthcare delivery.
• Provide patient and family education as per needs.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
• Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
• Perform other miscellaneous related duties applicable to the Radiology Department as requested by the Head of Radiology.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist.
• Demonstrated ability to perform imaging examinations to a high standard, often without direct supervision.
• Commitment to updating knowledge in line with professional best practice.
• Ability to use independent professional judgment and initiative.
