Job Overview: The telecommunications network technician specializes in laying cables and connecting the necessary equipment for network operation, ensuring that phones and the internet are operational.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Understanding transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of communication systems.
  • Monitoring network issues and working to resolve them under the supervision of the network engineer.
  • Maintaining routine maintenance equipment and determining when and what type of maintenance is necessary.
  • Testing newly installed or repaired equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Testing circuits and components of faulty wired and wireless communication equipment to identify and repair sources of malfunctions.
