The Role of Project Engineer (Onshore)

Penspen is seeking a Project Engineer (Onshore) to join its team in Al Khafji, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves coordinating project engineering activities between the EPC contractor, client, and various technical disciplines to ensure efficient project execution. The Project Engineer will support the Senior Project Engineer and Construction Manager in managing technical issues and resolving interfaces for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical Onshore projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide project engineering coordination among the EPC contractor, client, and multiple technical disciplines.
• Review and monitor design deliverables, project schedules, and progress to ensure compliance with scope, cost, and quality requirements.
• Support the Senior Project Engineer and Construction Manager in managing technical issues, Requests for Information (RFIs), and interface resolutions.
• Verify that engineering designs align with constructability, commissioning, and operational requirements.
• Participate in design and progress meetings, track action items, and ensure their closure.
• Monitor material submittals, vendor documents, and the construction readiness of critical systems.
• Support project reporting and contribute to the preparation of project performance summaries.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in an appropriate field.
• Alternatively, a Diploma in Engineering in an appropriate field.

Experience and Skills

• Over 10 years of experience in engineering, procurement, construction, contract administration, coordination, and project support activities.
• Demonstrated experience in major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical Onshore projects.

This position is based in Al Khafji, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia.
