Project Engineer

About the Role

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves supporting project execution by managing technical documentation, coordinating engineering deliverables, and ensuring construction activities align with design specifications. The Project Engineer will play a key role in facilitating communication and technical compliance throughout project lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and manage engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
• Coordinate technical queries (TQs) between the site, engineering teams, and the client.
• Track and control document submittals and approvals, including transmittals and Master Document Registers (MDRs).
• Provide technical input for procurement processes and support material take-offs.
• Assist in constructability reviews and resolve conflicts between design and field conditions.
• Liaise with Quality Control (QC) to ensure technical compliance of installed works.
• Support the preparation of method statements and inspection/test plans.
• Coordinate technical matters with engineering, planning, and construction teams.
• Track technical punch-list items through to their closure.
• Support the preparation of as-built drawings and final documentation handover.
• Assist the Project Manager with technical reporting and presentations.
• Provide technical support during commissioning and handover activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in project engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to manage technical documentation and coordinate engineering deliverables.
• Experience in resolving technical queries and ensuring compliance with design specifications.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. The role requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, including site teams, engineering departments, and clients.
