About Bühler Group and the Role

Bühler Group is seeking a Project Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position focuses on supporting customers through the entire project lifecycle, from execution and installation to commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of Bühler machines and systems.

Role Summary and Objectives

The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating assigned projects from initial handover through to successful completion. This involves ensuring timely and cost-effective execution while managing technical requirements, subcontractor activities, customer expectations, project documentation, and potential risks.

Project Planning and Oversight

  • Take ownership of assigned projects following handover from Sales, Customer Service, or Order Management.
  • Review contracts, quotations, technical specifications, scope of supply, commercial conditions, exclusions, responsibilities, and project risks.
  • Develop and maintain project execution plans covering engineering, procurement, logistics, installation, commissioning, and handover.
  • Define and monitor project milestones, deliverables, timelines, resources, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate project activities from order confirmation through customer acceptance and project closure.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, schedules, deliveries, and contractual obligations, taking corrective action when required.

Execution, Quality, and Stakeholder Coordination

  • Ensure project deliverables meet contractual requirements, Bühler standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate internal and external project meetings and ensure timely follow-up of actions.
  • Maintain accurate and complete project documentation.
  • Coordinate customers, internal teams, subcontractors, and service providers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Support the selection, qualification, onboarding, and performance management of subcontractors and service providers.
  • Prepare and/or review scopes of work and coordinate subcontractor mobilization, including site access, permits, tools, equipment, and resources.

Financial Management and Risk Mitigation

  • Support project budgeting, cost control, invoicing, and payment milestone tracking.
  • Identify and manage technical, commercial, schedule, quality, and site risks.
  • Identify potential service, upgrade, and modernization opportunities based on customer requirements.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in project engineering or a similar field, demonstrating a strong track record in managing complex projects.
