The Warehouse and Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire warehouse and logistics functions at Matar Holding / Salama Engineering. This critical role involves ensuring effective inventory management, efficient storage, order fulfillment, and the distribution of goods. You will manage the flow of products from suppliers to customers, optimizing warehouse space, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
- Warehouse Management: Oversee daily operations in the warehouse, ensuring accurate and efficient receipt, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records, perform stock audits, and manage inventory turnover to meet customer demand.
- Space Optimization: Maximize storage capacity by planning efficient warehouse layout while ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Order Fulfillment: Ensure timely processing and dispatch of customer orders.
- Team Supervision: Manage warehouse personnel, promoting safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Logistics Operations:
- Logistics Management: Oversee the movement of goods and ensure timely deliveries.
- Transportation Coordination: Manage relationships with logistics providers and negotiate transportation rates.
- Delivery Scheduling: Collaborate on optimizing delivery schedules.
- Cost Management: Develop a logistics budget and implement cost-reduction strategies.
- Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align supply chain objectives.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all regulations related to warehousing and logistics.
- Promote a safe working environment through safety policies and audits.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve processes utilizing technology and best practices.
- Resolve operational issues effectively and efficiently.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Monitor key performance indicators related to warehouse and logistics.
- Provide insights to management based on data analysis.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years in warehouse and logistics management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency with WMS, TMS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in logistics or warehouse management.
- Experience with large-scale distribution operations.
- Knowledge of supply chain optimization techniques.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with standard working hours; may require overtime during peak periods.
- Position based in a warehouse environment with exposure to various physical conditions.
