  1. Customer Reception: Receiving customers at the payment points.
  2. Purchases Registration: Entering the products or services that the customer has purchased into the system (usually using a barcode scanner).
  3. Completion of Financial Transactions: Receiving payments whether in cash, credit cards, or electronic payment methods.
  4. Issuing Invoices: Printing the invoice for the customer and giving it to them.
  5. Returns Management: Completing return or exchange operations if there are any issues with the product.
  6. Record Keeping: Accurately recording payments and transactions to ensure transparency.
  7. Balancing Cash: Ensuring that the cash register has the correct amount at the end of the day or after each shift.



Required Skills for Cashiers:

  • Good mathematical skills to calculate amounts quickly and accurately.
  • The ability to deal with electronic systems and payment devices.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective customer service.
  • Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of financial operations.
  • The ability to handle stressful situations during busy periods.

This role usually requires a medium level of education (such as a high school diploma) and may require internal training to familiarize with the different systems used by the store or establishment.
