Join our team as Head of Accounts
We at The Gulf Hills Logistics Services are looking for a Head of Accounts with extensive experience in managing the company's financial accounts. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Managing accounting activities: Overseeing all daily accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial transaction recording.
  • Preparing financial reports: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and financial reports, and providing analyses for senior management.
  • Ensuring financial compliance: Ensuring compliance with local and international financial laws and regulations.
  • Managing invoicing and payments: Monitoring client accounts and ensuring timely receipt of payments.
  • Budget preparation and cost planning: Developing financial plans and budgets and analyzing variances between actual and expected costs.
  • Managing the accounting team: Guiding and supporting the accounting team to ensure quality and accuracy of work.
  • Collaborating with other departments: Providing financial support and ensuring budget alignment with overall goals.
  • Analyzing financial performance: Offering suggestions to improve profits and reduce costs.
  • Long-term financial planning: Developing strategic plans to support the company's long-term growth.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Extensive practical experience in accounting.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and ability to prepare reports.
  • Familiarity with accounting software.
  • Team management skills and effective communication.
Objectives: Ensure the accuracy of financial processes and analyze financial performance to achieve the company’s financial goals sustainably.

Position Summary:
To perform daily accounting operations and activities (invoices, POs, AP, AR, payroll) in accordance with accounting principles and standards in order to have a full and accurate statement of its financial position and to ensure that Rolaco complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:
Accounting Management:
- Reconcile accounts and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules.

- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

Reporting:
- Consolidate, and draft monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting reports for Rolaco's business units and submit to the senior accountant for review and feedback. These reports may include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, Customer & Supplier statements, and regulatory reports and filings.
- Prepare financial statement breakdown reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and submit to the supervisor for review and input.

Learning and Development:
- Keep abreast of any changes in accounting guidelines or principles.
- Take proactive responsibility for self-improvement by staying well informed of developments, knowledge, and innovation in the relevant field of expertise.
- Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor or other superiors.
- Further develop expertise through off-the-job training activities and involvement in more complex tasks and projects.

Qualifications:
Knowledge and Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in accounting.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and programs.

Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
