Job Summary:
The Housekeeping order taker ensures that the department handles the housekeeping communication system and guest communication politely and efficiently. Handles incoming/outgoing calls courteously and promptly and performs to the standards established by Shangri-La.
Responsibilities:
- Handling the safekeeping, recording, and collection of all keys and pagers held in the Housekeeping Office to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- Answering the telephone according to standards and recording incoming requests and messages in order to communicate this information to concerned parties in a timely fashion.
- Receiving Lost and Found items and recording and storing them as per standard.
- Maintaining control of Guest Supplies, preparing the needed supplies for requisitions and handling lost and found.
- Coordinate and control all office traffic.
- Ensure vacant/ready rooms are available to the Front Office through coordination with the Floor Supervisor team.
- Present a positive, professional, and courteous image to ensure guest satisfaction.
Requirements:
- 1 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
- Ability to work long hours and shifts.
- Communicates and writes with fluency in English (as well as the Arabic language).
- Computer Knowledge.
