The Specialist Technician (PLC) Role

Benteler is seeking a full-time Specialist Technician (PLC) to join its team in King Abdullah Economic City, Makkah. This role involves applying expertise in automation, PLC programming, and robotics to support the optimization and reliability of production equipment. The Specialist Technician will contribute to innovation, continuous improvement, and the long-term success of operations within an international manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support maintenance activities in areas such as PLC programming, robotics, and automation.
• Optimize existing equipment and remain informed on new technical developments and innovations.
• Manage PLC programming, production-related IT interfaces, and troubleshooting tasks.
• Assist in the setup and launch of new equipment and projects.
• Lead maintenance-related improvement actions in collaboration with other departments.
• Improve and standardize maintenance procedures and practices.
• Ensure adherence to appropriate maintenance standards and contribute insights to expert networks.
• Support the Develop & Launch process concerning maintenance activities from a plant perspective.
• Contribute to operative maintenance tasks requiring specialized expertise.
• Support innovative initiatives, including 3D printing and Industry projects.
• Train and develop maintenance personnel within the area of expertise.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates for the Specialist Technician (PLC) position should possess foundational expertise in automation, PLC programming, and robotics. A minimum of 0-1 years of relevant experience is required for this role.
