Job Summary
An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial information to support decision-making. The role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and maintaining meticulous records of transactions. Accountants may also assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Recording daily financial transactions such as revenues, purchases, payments, and receipts.
  • Documenting accounting entries accurately to ensure the integrity of the records.
  • Reviewing and updating bank accounts periodically to ensure they align with the company’s accounting records.
  • Resolving financial discrepancies and preparing periodic reconciliation reports.
  • Monitoring accounts of suppliers (creditors) and customers (debtors).
  • Issuing tenant invoices and reviewing supplier invoices.
  • Preparing and filing tax declarations accurately.
  • Ensuring timely payroll disbursement.
  • Performing account closures and preparing final reports.
  • Supporting and implementing internal and external audits.
  • Adhering to financial control procedures, company policies, and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs and accounting software.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Professional Certifications Required: SOCPA Certificate.
  • Years of Experience: 23 years of experience in the real estate sector or property management.
