Vanderlande is a market-leading global partner in future-proof logistic process automation, specifically within warehousing, airports, and parcel sectors. We are looking for a dedicated Duty Driver to ensure the safe and timely transport of goods and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport grey tubs, spare parts, goods, or equipment to and from designated locations.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery according to the schedule.
- Assist with loading and unloading items as necessary.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or defects.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle both inside and out.
- Comply with airport traffic regulations and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate logs of routes, deliveries, and mileage.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients or stakeholders.
- Communicate any delays or issues to the relevant supervisor promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, fuel usage, and any incurred expenses.
- Complete and submit daily trip reports.
Qualifications And Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role is preferable.
- Valid driver’s license (Manual).
- Familiarity with airport routes is advantageous.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle unexpected situations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for long periods while driving.
- Capacity to lift and carry items.
- Good vision and hearing for safe vehicle operation.
Working Conditions:
- Shift work is required.
